WOW Fever hits the capital
The World of Wearable Art Award Show opens this week and the excitement is definately building, with banners all over town, restaurants doing celebratory menus and shops competing for their own WOW window display awards.
The WOW Factor exhibition at Te Papa has just opened too, and is on all year, so you have plenty of time to see it. Although if you go soon you could check out Te Papa’s WOW Factor events programme, with talks and behind the scenes insights over the coming weeks to celebrate WOW’s 25th birthday and the opening of their exhibition in Wellington.
Personally, I love the show and it never fails to entertain me in so many ways, but if you have never been before I urge you to go see it and you will be truly amazed. I’m already counting down the days until I the show, when I can see my own garment perform on stage! As soon as the winners are announced I will put up some details of this year’s entry.
The World of Wearable Art Show runs from 26th September to 6th October and may still have tickets left.
